Mezzo-soprano Allison Messier shares her unique voice and spirit with the world by singing in a variety of genres including artsong, operas, oratorio and sacred music. She has performed extensively throughout New England and abroad. She received her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory and continued her studies at the Bel Canto Institute in Florence, Italy, Vancouver International Song Institute in British Columbia, and with Jane Olian in New York City.

Allison offers private voice lessons at Sakonnet Music in Adamsville, RI to those who wish to discover their own distinct voice, develop it, and learn to care for it.

“Learning and maintaining healthy technique is a lifelong journey; it is my goal to help students use their voices comfortably and with confidence. This includes working on breath connection, even tone production, phrasing, and the formation and placement of vowels and consonants. I am also committed to helping students work toward music literacy, and improve their skills in reading musical notation. All of these tools give the student a foundation upon which they can grow into the musical artist they aspire to be.” -Allison
